We are focused on the Caspian Sea Region, with our core markets being Azerbaijan and Iran. This region has vast economic potential thanks to its energy reserves and young, tech-savvy population.

Energy Reserves

The Caspian Sea is rich in oil and natural gas, with Azerbaijan having 7 billion barrels of proven crude oil reserves and 1.3 trillion cubic meters of natural gas reserves. Iran has even greater energy wealth, holding the world’s largest natural gas reserves at over 34,000 billion cubic meters (over 17% of global reserves) and the fourth largest proven oil reserves globally. Together, Azerbaijan and Iran account for over 20% of the world’s natural gas reserves. Ongoing exploration and development of deep gas reservoirs could uncover further reserves.

Large and Growing Population

The wider Caspian region including Azerbaijan and Iran has a population of over 90 million people. Both countries have young populations, with around 25% under 14 years old. High birth rates of 14 births per 1,000 people point to continued population growth in the coming decades. This young and expanding workforce represents a major economic opportunity.

Potential Growth Sectors

In addition to oil and gas, the region has growth potential in:

  • Agriculture: Both countries have favorable climate conditions and arable land for expanded agricultural output.
  • Construction and infrastructure: To support growing populations and connect Caspian energy reserves to world markets.
  • Transport and logistics: Azerbaijan in particular aims to leverage its geographic position to become a Eurasian transport hub.
  • Industrial manufacturing: To supply regional infrastructure projects and consumer demand.
  • Healthcare: Rising incomes and aging populations will drive healthcare spending.

The region’s growing numbers of tech-savvy youth also present opportunities in sectors like information technology, finance, and online services.
